SxS Pro: The best SxS Tire Repair Kit

The New GlueTread SxS Pro Kit equips any SxS rider with everything they need to repair the three most common tire failures while on the trail: sidewall damage, punctures and vavle stems. 

Additionally, this kit includes 8, 16-gram CO2 cartridges so even when the air compressor is left behind, a full SxS tire can be reinflated. 

Sidewall Repair 

GlueTread does sidewall repair best! Our unique rubber formula paired with a super-strength adhesive can repair the sidewall of any offroad tire without taking the tire off the vehicle.

Here's how it works: 

Step 1: Prep Your Surface
Clean and smooth the damaged area on your tire using the sandpaper included in your kit. 

Step 2: Apply Adhesive to the Damaged Area
Apply a small amount of GlueTread adhesive to the split in your sidewall, then hold the damaged area together and let it cure for a minute before sanding off excess.

Step 3: Measure Patch & Trace on Tire
Select the right-sized patch or cut one to fit, ensuring at least a ½ inch margin around the damaged area. Then, trace the patch onto the tire using a marker or any handy object.

Step 4: Apply Adhesive to the Tire
Apply adhesive to the tire or patch using small dots. Avoid using excessive adhesive. Place the patch in position and apply pressure evenly for a minute.

Step 5: Inflate & Ride
Wait 5-10 minutes after the patch has been applied to inflate your tire. You do NOT need the GlueTread accelerator. 

Inflation

If you aren't carrying a spare for your SxS, you likely don't want to carry inflation either. 

This kit includes 8, 16-gram CO2 cartridges. This is enough to inflate even the largest of SxS tires enough to get you off the trail and back to safety. This won't inflate your tire to 20 psi, but it'll give your tire enough air to ride back to a trailhead. 

The CO2 cartridges use an inflation chuck (included) to release air into the tire. The kit also comes with a CO2 insulator sleeve because the CO2 cartridges get really cold as the air is being transferred into the tire. 

Plugging a Puncture 

Punctures in the treaded area of the tire are the most common kind of tire damage. The SxS Pro kit includes Montana Made T-Handles, one with a probe and one with a needle. We make these T-Handles in the GlueTread shop in Montana. 

The kit also comes with 10 plugs for a quick repair. 

Colby Valves 

If you need to repair or replace a tire valve in the field, this is your solution! The patented "winged spacer" design makes installation as easy as twisting a wing-nut.

The no tool design and ability to be installed from the outside of the wheel in under 5 minutes makes it the best tire valve replacement on the market. The Emergency Tire Valves are .453 inch size, and will fit everything from bicycles to truck tires.

Leave the Spare Behind 

If you're a SxS rider who doesn't have a spare, chooses to leave yours behind or rides so hard you just might get two flats, you can't afford to not have this kit as part of your emergency gear!
