A puncture in the tread is inconvenient.
A cut in the sidewall can leave you stranded.
Sidewalls flex constantly. They aren’t reinforced like the tread area, and when they’re sliced by sharp rock, metal, or debris, most people assume the tire is done.
That’s exactly why we built this system.
The GlueTread sidewall repair is designed to be completed without removing the tire from the wheel.
- Locate and inspect the damage. Ensure it’s small and repairable.
- Prepare the surface. Clean and buff the damaged area to promote a strong bond.
- Apply adhesive and patch. The heavy-duty rubber patch is bonded directly over the damaged section.
- Allow it to cure. Once set, the repair reinforces the weakened area and helps prevent the tear from spreading.
The result is a strong, flexible repair that allows you to safely get off the trail.

We re-engineered the standard plug tool and built ours from CNC-machined aluminum right here in the United States. It’s stronger, more durable, and built to handle real off-road use.
We pair that tool with high-quality, U.S.-made self-vulcanizing tire plugs, allowing you to permanently repair punctures in the tread area without removing the tire.
This isn’t a gas-station plug kit.

Emergency Valve Stem
The third most common tire failure is a damaged valve stem.
GlueTread partnered with Colby Valve to bring an industry-leading, on-trail valve stem repair solution to this kit.
If a valve stem tears or fails, you simply:
- Cut out the damaged valve stem
- Insert the replacement valve stem into the hole in the wheel.
- Thread the CNC-machined aluminum wing nut onto the new valve stem
- Reinflate the tire
There is no need to remove the tire from the wheel and no need to remove the wheel from the vehicle.
It’s a fast, reliable solution that turns what used to be a major breakdown into a simple trail repair.

I've had this kit in my Jeep for about 3 months and today I put it to use! It worked fantastic to just get me out of the desert and home. I had about a 3" tear right on the edge of the sidewall on a BFG KM3. Having it right on a tread block required a lot of sanding. I was able to get it flat enough to get a patch on and it held air with a very slow leak. It got us safely about 20 miles to home! After this experience I'll be adding gloves to the kit, the glue gets messy. And scissors to cut the patches. And maybe a small air powered die grinder. I think I could have gotten my patch to hold better if I sanded the tread block down totally flat.All in all, great product!!
It is for emergency use so not much to enjoy until I need it

Kind of hard to rate what you haven't used. That said it looks like a very nice kit. Has all the parts and seems high quality. It's like food storage, I hope I just wind up throwing it away eventually. I've had a major flat far from civilization before and I'd hate to only rely on a spare when it happens again.
I have a repair kit in 4 different vehicles. I have only used them once, but that was enough to convince me it's easier to repair the 47-inch tire than wrestle it off and replace it with a spare. I no longer carry a spare in my side-by-side. Just a compressor and a repair kit.
Worked good. And way better then the original formula. Fixed a 1" hole in my sidewall

I got this for potential sidewall repairs. The plugging kit seems pretty standard and should work well if needed, but the sidewall stuff is unique. From the videos I watched, I have great confidence that the patches will get me back to civilization and beyond, and my adventures are nowhere near as extreme as the Rubicon trail.
Great Product
Very good but will not fix a hole in between tread
I did not have to use this on a recent trip to Moab, but it did give peace of mind knowing that regardless of tire issue I had a fix that I could accomplish.
This is the sort of product that you won't know how it works until you need it. Based on reviews here and elsewhere, this is a go-to for fixing flat tires when help is far away. At least will give peace of mind.
I watched a UTube video to learn how to plug my lawn mower tire. Remember to cut off the plug excess when you finish. The product worked great.
Great product and price. The shipping took awhile but was free so I'm not complaining. Plus I could not buy it locally. Definitely recommend.
I have not used it yet, but it provides peace of mind for me, knowing that I have it IF I am on the road.I recently did a road trip from Northern Va to Albuquerque New Mexico. knowing that I had the kit onboard, just in case, eased my concerns on getting stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

I wanted a new tire repair kit for my truck that I use off-road and this kit covers all the bases in a single bag. It is not a cheap kit, but you do get what you pay for here. This would not be worth it for everyone if just wanting to plug a tire puncture when driving around town, but for off-road use when you run the risk of a tire failure (including side wall punctures) in the middle of nowhere, it is good to know that there is a quality tool kit onboard to be able to handle that on site. Everything in the kit is great quality and ready to go.
Have not had to use them. Hopefully I never will. They do provide a sense of security knowing they are there if I do need them. I will update review if they are used.
I saw someone use this at the Arch Canyon Jeep Jamboree USA after a Gladiator sliced a sidewall, then later sliced the spare tire. It’s great insurance for our Jeep, plus for our CanAm Commander MAX XTp, I run without a spare bead lock wheel.
My kids and I go off-roading as frequently as I can get off work. One of the pitfalls is getting an unfortunate puncture in the tires or a valve getting ripped out. This kit has a replacement and items to fix a sidewall or tire puncture so that it can last till I get out and get a tire fixed or replaced. Great product to have regardless if you off-road or not.
